QLD Winter Escapes with Sailing Adventures

With our first Whitsundays cruise for this season embarking today, we are excited to update everyone on our program of major events for this year’s sailing season from June to October in tropical and sub-tropical QLD. These include: –

Mid October: WHITSUNDAY RENDEZVOUS

CORAL SEA CAPERS
In conjunction with Prosail Whitsundays we are taking the world famous “Condor” on two adventures. Firstly, departing Magnetic Island we head north for 10 days through the islands, atolls & cays of the Great Barrier Reef as far as Cooktown in far North Queensland following in the wake of Cook, Flinders, Bligh, and others who have discovered the wonder and spectacle of this remote region. At the end of the ten days the group will depart from Cairns where we will pick up the second group for another ten-day adventure cruise in reverse, finishing at Magnetic Island. AIRLIE BEACH RACE WEEK “The sailors’ Regatta”
Sailing Adventures is getting set to participate at ABRW in 2021. We present an exciting race regatta experience to hone your skills, develop new ones or just participate in a series of races with team building and fun being the main focus of the week. Sailing & racing on the mighty “Hammer of QLD” you will experience racing on one of the great maxi yachts of a bygone era. Click here for more details.

HAMILTON ISLAND RACE WEEK (The big one)
Hamilton Island Race Week is one of the world’s most famous yachting events – and every year, brings spectators and yachties from all parts to the Whitsundays for an exciting line up of on and offshore events. This will be our 21st “Hamo” presenting 9 days of fantastic racing, great camaraderie, fabulous hospitality in the stunning surrounding islands off Hamilton Island. WHITSUNDAY CRUISING
Join us on luxury, private ensuite catamarans for this “adventure in paradise”.
Eight days, seven nights exploring uninhabited islands only accessible by boat, Snorkel the wonderful coral reefs scattered throughout the region. Get surrounded by butterflies or fish for that elusive catch. Watch whales cavorting in their favourite area during their annual pilgrimage north or hike, walk or stroll some of the many trails leading to outlooks with magnificent views. WHITSUNDAY RENDEZVOUS
The annual “Rendezvous” is a unique combination of sailing comradery and social engagements. The sailing itinerary includes frequent stops for memorable social functions and private relaxation. Competition for special prizes during the blindfolded dinghy sprint, figure head competition and time trial can become a fierce battle! Co-hosted by Multihull Solutions and The Yacht Sales Co, this week of casual carousing on the water has been an enjoyable sailing event in the bi-annual calendar.
